Finally, Disney Marathon Weekend!

So, I have been training for months for this with some help from friends, family, and TMB Endurance training (you know racingwithbabies). I had to take a little break because of illness and a knee that would not heal. I am as ready as I can be for now.

My first half marathon. What better way to celebrate your first half marathon!!!
DISNEY HALF MARATHON!!!
My entire family ( except for the 5 year old) is going to run.
On Saturday in the wee hours of the morning, I will embark on my first half. My husband and his brother will join me. Neither of which have trained. They are going to take photos and run/walk. My sister-in-law, niece, and her boyfriend will join me also. Lisa, my sister-in-law is doing the Goofy challenge. She will run the half then the marathon on Sunday. She is going to pace me for the half and help to encourage me. Sooooooo excited.

On Friday, at 7am, my kids, younger niece, and I will run the Buzz and Woody 5k fun run. This course takes you around Epcot. I think it will be so much fun and I plan to use this as a major photo session with my kids.

BUZZ AND WOODY 5K

We are staying at the Disney Bay Lake Towers which is part of the Contemporary. I love this place. We stayed there last year for a week and it was awesome. The great thing is, it has monorail service, so we can jump on the monorail to ticket and transportation to another monorail directly to Epcot, where the half and marathon start is.
Here is a pic of the beautiful bedroom. We are staying in a 1 bedroom suit with a living room and kitchen. The living room has a fold away bed and an awesome chair that lays down to a single bed. So comfy.
Also, Clif has a pace team and since I am all into new experiences, I signed up. I guess I will check with them at the expo and then meet up with my pacer on race day. Just kind of cool. Yesterday, I received a box of goodies from cliff with some new products and flavors. That was awesome to get some free stuff.

  1. That's so exciting! How cool that it's a family affair. I can't wait for a race report.
